Halloween Family Picture
We had a wonderful Halloween trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Here's the only family picture we got- you can see Emma dressed up as Harry Potter. She was SUPER excited to be Harry Potter and loved using her wand, which lights up pretty bright, as a flashlight. Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Halloween.
Happy Halloween
My daughter Emma is so excited that Halloween is finally here. She was going to be Alice in Wonderland but changed her mind to Harry Potter just last night. It's a good thing she has the wand, glasses, robe and tie. I'll upload a picture of her once she's all dressed up. Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Kraft Shredded Cheese for $0.88 a Bag
I've told you before and I'll tell you again- I LOVE cheese! I don't think I go a day without eating some type of cheese. And usually I have 6-8 different types in my fridge at a time. Cheese is pretty pricey so anytime I can get a good deal on it, I stock up. This week there's a great deal going on at Lowe's Food stores. So here's the steal: All bags of shredded Kraft Cheese are on sal...

So my little "Harriet Potter" has been having a BLAST with the PS3 Lego Harry Potter game and as if that wasn't enough, my In-Laws got her the coolest Lego set around. It's the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle! This isn't the ordinary "Lego" set that I grew up with. This Lego set has hinges and doors, flames on torches, stairs that swivel, and much, much more. It's AMAZING! My In-Laws had as...
Happy 5th Birthday, Emma!!!
My baby is turning 5 today. She is SOOO excited about this age, and the fact that the dentist told her 2 days ago that her two bottom teeth were loose. I keep telling her she's going to look like a jack-o-lantern but she doesn't seem to mind:) I received the Picaboo book in the mail yesterday and it's all wrapped up and ready for Emma to open up. It came out REALLY nice. Can't believe I...
Free Picaboo Photobook!
I just found out from My Baton Rouge Mommy that Picaboo is offering new customers a FREE large Classic book from October 15 to 25th by using code FALLBK. My Wonderful Trip to Earth Fare

Posted By: Elena on February 11, 2010 in Back to Nature, Coupons, Earth Fare, Organic, Silk Soy Milk - Comments: 1 Comment »

A few days ago I told you that I won a Free Pantry Makeover from Earth Fare. Well today my husband and I visited the store and switched out our conventional foods for their natural/organic ones.

I brought my bag of foods to the customer service counter and was greeted by a young lady named Courtney. She took the items that I brought in out of the bag and looked at the ingredients to make sure I had followed their guidelines. She then walked us up and down a few aisles and allowed us to choose the item that we wanted within the category of that food. For example, we could choose 1 of 4 cereals that Earth Fare makes. We could pick crunchy or creamy peanut butter. Here is a picture of the items we picked:

Note: The brie shown is this picture was not part of the “free pantry makeover”, but it was free with the purchase of any item in the store.

We asked Courtney a few questions about their products and were excited to learn that they do not carry any items containing the following:

  • High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • Artificial preservatives
  • Hydrogenated oils
  • Antibiotics or growth hormones

She also informed us that we are welcome to try out any item in their store before purchasing it. All you need to do is ask, and they will be happy to open up the item for you to try. WOW!  That’s impressive!

It was a wonderful shopping experience and one that I look forward to making again soon.  Here is a picture of the foods we picked up while visiting Earth Fare today:

The “Back to Nature” cookies were B1G1 Free with a coupon hanging on a tearpad below the cookies. We decided to try the ones that look like “Oreo” cookies as we like Nabisco Oreos.

We also purchased a gallon of organic milk and a half gallon of Organic Silk Soy Milk, which we put away before I got a picture. I did not know that Silk Soy
had an organic variety. This was the first time I ever saw it. Mark and Emma drink a lot of Silk Soy so we will see what they think of this one.
